#dbest juicers

I’ve been on a fresh fruit and vegetable kick lately and am feeling great. I’ve been wanting to try making a super-healthy green juice, though… the only thing I’m missing is a good juicer! You can only do so much with a blender. I’ve been doing some research on the best juicers out there, and these are my findings. But first, this is what I’m looking for in a juicer.

My ideal juicer needs to be:

  • Easy to use. A wide chute is a must, so that I don’t have to chop up produce into little pieces.
  • Easy to clean. Preferably not too many parts, and those it does have need to be easy to clean, dishwasher-safe even!
  • Efficient. It needs to squeeze every drop of juice out of the fruits and vegetables I put in it, and do so in a timely manner.
  • Durable. I’ll probably be using it every day, so I’ll need one that’ll last, with a good motor and a sharp blade.
  • A good size. Compact enough to not take up too much space on my counter, yet big enough to make a big batch of juice in one use.
  • Affordable. I realize that a juicer is an investment in my health, but I still can’t afford to spend $300-400 on a kitchen appliance at the moment! Ideally, I’d like to buy a juicer that costs under $100, but I’m willing to go up to $150 for the right machine.

“You can’t even begin to compare store bought juice {even organic} to juicing your own. You know exactly what goes in it. It’s the epitome of fresh… here’s a tip though–clean the machine right after you make juice. I mean RIGHT AFTER. If you do that, then the machine is easy to clean. You can pretty much rinse it, but…if you wait…you will be sorry LOL.” – Jolly Mom

“My sister-in-law… found this Waring Pro juicer at Target and bought it for me for Christmas. It has worked beautifully! While the greatest downside to juicers is usually the cleanup, this one is a breeze in my opinion… it usually takes me about 3-5 minutes to take it apart and clean it all up from start to finish. Totally worth it if you ask me! – Chia Seed Me
