#dbest lunchboxes for kids

I’m a little obsessed with boxed lunches these days! Browsing Flickr albums and food blogs, I’m gathering ideas of what I can make for my daughter’s school lunch everyday. Adventures in Bentomaking, Lunch in a Box, and the Laptop Lunches Flickr group are all great resources.

Searching for the perfect lunch accessories is no easy feat! I’m looking for cute, reusable items that aren’t too expensive, as I wouldn’t be surprised if my daughter loses it all her first week of school. I mentioned the Goodbyn lunchbox in a previous post, and while that looks like a great option, I’ve been checking out a few other brands. Here are 5 that have stood out.

Product/Price Review/Giveaway
Olive Kids

$19.99

“Nylon keeps this lunch bag easy to clean, easy to carry, and able to stuff big things in. Last year I couldn’t get Lunchables in my kids lunch boxes and this year I can send Belle with that + more. There is a mesh compartment that allows more room for storage and even a zipper compartment on the outside. The easy to carry strap is great for messenger style or use the handle.” – Beth at The Fabulous Won.

“Thermos is a fantastic Canadian company that has some of the cutest, coolest and highest quality lunch items around… the Lunch Kits are just the right size for kids, and they keep your food fresh for hours… we found that our lunches stayed very fresh and had no issues with leaks, etc. As a mom, I love how durable and easy to care for these lunch kits are, and my kids LOVE the bright, fun designs.” – Andrea at Glimpse Reviews

Citizenpip

$42

“Lily immediately claimed the kit as her own and prepared a lovely lunch for me from her own little play kitchen. The containers are very sturdy and come in a good variety of sizes. It is roomy and fits much more than a standard lunch box which I love because I can stow Lily’s afternoon snacks and water cup in there along with my lunch. And I love the bright, sassy colors and pattern!” – Aleksandra at Busy Working Mama

Kids Konserve

$45

“This lunch kit is designed to be the ultimate complete waste-free kit… with a 500ml stainless steel water bottle, two stainless steel 8oz food containers, a reusable food cozy and a recycled cotton napkin. The 8oz snack containers were definitely the star of the lunch kit with their leak-proof lids that kept the veggies crisp and the lunch bag dry. Best of all, my husband’s lunch hadn’t created a single piece of garbage!” – Kathryn at Mommy Kat and Kids

Easy Lunchbox System

$7.95 -$13.95

“The Easy Lunchbox system provides a simple way to organize, and pack healthy lunches without wasting money, time, paper or plastic… these lunchbox containers fit perfectly inside the insulated lunch bag and there is plenty of room left for additional snack or two as well as a drink… I worried they might be flimsy, but they definitely aren’t. They are sturdy and safe for use in the fridge, freezer and even the microwave.” – Kari at Shining2Save
